Training and Mentoring emerging leaders
The Church Planting Executive is committed to recognizing, training and mentoring all those who get involved in this Rebuild Cape Breton Vision. This will involve a module system of training on different aspects of the Christian life and ministry.
The core subjects will be:-
a) Friendship / one-one evangelism
b) Worship and Prayer Ministry
c) Discipleship Training
d) Church Planting
e) Church Leadership
The goal is to equip the volunteers with biblical training and mentoring to help them grow and develop the gifts and experience needed to function in the calling of planting off and developing new communities of Christians.
Friendship and One to One Evangelism Module
This module will look at the biblical mandate to share the Good News of Jesus Christ into a lost and broken world. It will cover such aspects as "What is the Good News," The different ways people encounter the Good News. Our responsibilities and God's in sharing the message. Different strategies in preparing the ground for meaningful evangelism. Engaging with different world views. Conversion prayer and the importance of nurturing new disciples.
Worship and Prayer Ministry Module
This module will focus on training people to lead the worship experience. What is worship? Different ways of encouraging worship. Encouraging worship amongst those who are newly saved. Alongside of this training there will be some sessions looking at ministry prayer and how to minister to people with different needs and problems.
Discipleship Training Module
The bible is very clear that our task is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. This module will look at what is a disciple? How to grow and develop as a disciple and different strategies of discipleship making.
Church Planting Module
This module will focus on different strategies of church planting. How to prepare the ground for church planting. How to discern what model of church planting will work in the community you are reaching out into. The opportunities and pitfalls of church planting.
Church Leadership Module
This module focuses on training emerging leaders in Christian servant leadership. The module will deal with topics like, "what is a leader?" The skills and competency of a good leader. How to conceive and grow a vision. Developing a strategy and building and maintaining a team. How to deal with conflict and disagreement.
