Statement of Faith
What do we believe?
We believe that the Bible, the 66 books of the Old and New Testament, is the Word of God, fully divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original languages. That Scripture is infallible and has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe in the unity of the One True and Living God who is the Eternal, Self Existent “ I AM.” One God eternally existing in three Persons – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, that are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption. He is Creator, Redeemer, Preserver and Ruler of the universe. All Powerful, All Knowing, All Present and His perfect Knowledge and rule extend to all things past, present and future.
We believe in Jesus Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit and that He is fully God and fully man. We believe in His Virgin Birth, Sinless life, miraculous ministry, His teaching and His once and for all substitutionary Atoning Death on the cross. On the third day His bodily resurrection where he appeared to His disciples, His Triumphant Ascension into heaven and Perpetual Intercession for His people. We believe in His personal, visible bodily return to earth in power and glory, the gathering of His saints to be with Him and the establishment of His Kingdom.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who is fully divine. Who has come forth into the world to testify to Jesus Christ and to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. As an abiding helper, teacher and guide, it is the Holy Spirit who helps us cultivate Christian character, assures us of our salvation and empowers our life for witness and service to God.
We believe that humanity is the special creation of God, who was created pure and upright, but fell by voluntary transgression and because of wickedness and godlessness inherit a nature and an environment inclined towards sin. By nature, man is a transgressor and therefore is under condemnation.
We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. There is salvation in no other name but the name of Jesus Christ. Who according to the Scriptures, died for our sins and transgressions, was buried and was raised from the dead on the third day. Who bore our sins upon the cross and who by His own Blood obtained eternal redemption for all who believe in His name. This experience of personal conversion to Jesus Christ through repentance and faith is known as the New Birth (Born Again) and is an instantaneous and complete operation of the Holy Spirit upon initial faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all humanity, the everlasting conscious bliss of all who truly believe in our Lord Jesus Christ with the full rewards that go with faithful loving service and for all those whose names are not written in the Book of Life, the reality of final judgement and eternal suffering in hell.
